The objectives of the Society shall be as follows:

Section 1: To provide education programs of historical significance to the people of the community.

Section 2: To pursue the collection, preservation, restoration, acquisition by purchase or by gift the ownership of historical objects, material, records, and articles of memorabilia arising out of and relating to the Village and Township of the Pickerington vicinity.

Section 3: To preserve, collect and disseminate knowledge of the history of Pickerington and surrounding areas; to publish books, bulletins, brochures and pamphlets for the purpose of recording and disseminating the history of Pickerington and vicinity.

Section 4: To collect, preserve, and maintain accurate records in the future of memorable events relating to the development, progress and history of Pickerington md vicinity.

Section 5: To receive and accept donations for the purposes of money, objects, articles, personal or real property and the proceeds of trust funds established for that purpose; to act as trustees for property of any kind donated, loaned, bequeathed, or devised to this society by will, conveyance or deed or gift.

Section 6: To own, occupy. acquire and use buildings, lands and rooms for the storage, preservation and iisplay of historical articles and to operate or own a museum for that purpose.

All of the above purposes are to be for the benefit of the inhabitants, both present and future, of the City of Pickerington and Violet Township, Ohio and for the purpose of providing a ready reference thereto. The regulation and bylaws adopted by the membership shall be in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio.
